Mountain View Hotel Joins Chamber

“Mountain View Hotel” ANTIQUES located at 108 N. West Main Street in “Old Town” Easley is getting ready for the Christmas season.

Mountain View, picked best antique store in the Upstate by the Greenville News, recently celebrated it’s ninth year of operation in 2006. Featuring a full line of antiques and collectibles, Mountain View has just about anything for the discerning Christmas shopper from antique toys to furniture and just about everything you could imagine in between. They import a large selection of Delft Blue pottery from Holland, carry one of the largest selections of Fenton Art Glass in the area and are a Fenton Art Glass Showcase Dealer.

For those readers, you will find over 3000 books including religious and older books. Or you may choose from a large selection of antique and vintage jewelry, glassware, porcelain, and pottery. The restoration hardware section offers a full line of cast iron and solid brass products in-store. Special orders for the restorer are never a problem.

The store also boasts a museum showcasing historical items from Easley. Watson said, “Taking a walk through the store is like taking a walk through history. The building constructed in the 1800′s was the city’s upscale hotel until the Depression when Enoch Pepper bought the building and opened Pepper’s Feed and Seed downstairs and upstairs Dr. Finley opened a dentist office where he made his customers teeth.

Now as an antique shop with 9,000 square feet, people have an opportunity to purchase not only a part of history, but functional items that can last another 100 years. This Christmas season make sure and register (for each $25 spent) for your chances to win one of three gift certificates being drawn the last week in December.
