Golf Tournament a Success

Smithfields Country Club was the site of the annual Easley Chamber of Commerce golf tournament on May 8. Comprehensive Finance Solution (CFS) was the presenting business sponsor of the event. Firehouse Subs provided lunch and Outback Steakhouse provided the food for the evening dinner.

Miss Easley, Ashley Waldrop and Miss South Carolina, Shelley Benthall were at the tournament to greet the twenty-one (21) teams of players. The golf tournament was also a business expo with sponsors located on every hole to meet players and give them items as they went around the course.

Hamp Johnson of the Palmetto Bank in Easley stated, “This is the best organized golf tournament I have ever played in. It was also a great networking opportunity for the players and sponsors.” Adam Relan, Assistant Golf Pro at Smithfields said, “This is the best organized external event we have at Smithfields.” “Play went smoothly and all players and hole sponsors were pleased with the outcome,” according to Michael Dent, chairman of the event.

Scott McAbee of CFS added, “This demonstrates the support that the member businesses give to the Chamber of Commerce. It is a good relationship as the businesses support the chamber, which in turn supports the businesses. All this goes to improve the quality of life in the Easley area.”

2nd award CFS – Franco Repetto, Joe Arrowood, Will Callahan, Brett Puttnam
3rd award Bilo/Little Pigs – Jack Aiken, Keith Medlin, Ron Miller, Sandra Miller
