Sponsored by the Clemson, Easley and Pickens chambers of commerce, Leadership Pickens County (LPC) is designed to help develop informed and committed leaders for Pickens County. By taking an intensive look at local issues, LPC prepares and motivates participants to provide dynamic leadership within the community.
Facilitated by the Leadership Pickens County Board of Regents, the annual program begins with an orientation session in September. After the orientation, eight monthly full-day sessions take place in subsequent months, typically on the first Tuesday of the month. These sessions provide a platform for area leaders in sectors such as education, healthcare, economic development, business & industry, state & local government, and community service to inform and enlighten participants on issues and concerns facing Pickens County. The monthly sessions include a combination of guest speakers, tours of facilities and interactive activities. And, by blending participants from the public and private sector, it fosters new working relationships and networking opportunities. The program year concludes with the completion of a class project and a graduation ceremony.
Leadership Pickens County is open to anyone who lives or works in Pickens County. Persons interested in the program may apply directly or be nominated by an employer, member of the Chamber, or other individuals or organizations. Download the LPC application here.
