Congratulations Panda Express on the official grand opening of the newest location at 6031 Calhoun Memorial Highway, Easley. To celebrate, general manager, Sean Pollard joined Treymane Woods, assistant manager, and Anthony Stewart, general manager for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. In attendance were community members including Mayor Butch Womack and City Council members. All chamber attendees were treated to lunch and given a swag bag with a coupon for a free entree.
As part of the ceremony, Chamber President, Cindy Hopkins presented Sean with the first dollar of profit to show gratitude towards the Panda Family for their commitment to the community and for believing in the growth and development of Easley. Mayor Butch Womack also expressed gratitude to the Panda Family.
Shortly after, Sean Pollard introduced himself and expressed the goals and contributions the Panda Family hopes to achieve in the community. He stated, “on behalf of the Panda Family, we are so grateful to serve the Easley Community and [we] welcome everyone into our doors to taste our American Chinese favorites, all freshly made with quality ingredients […] to offer something delicious for everyone’s taste buds.” The food offered can be for dine-in, carry-out, and catering for your next event. The Panda Family hopes to contribute to the well-being of this community through job opportunities. At this location, they look to employ at least twenty-five residents with starting wages at $14.00 an hour for Front of House and $15 an hour for Back of House. The majority of General Managers earn $100K annually. Sean stated that “the best part of working at Panda is the career opportunities coupled with business and leadership development.” As a whole, Panda Express supports over 45K jobs at their 2,302 locations.
In addition to providing job opportunities, The Panda Family hopes to continue to impact communities through fundraisers and its philanthropic arm, Panda Cares. Panda Cares is a charitable foundation established in 1999. Since then, they have raised over $237M with the help of guests, associates, and business partners. Panda Express has impacted over 40K organizations, donated over $12M, and supported over 40K organizations. They have already supported local nonprofits within their first week of being open with The Women United Preschool Pages on April 20 and United Christian Ministries on April 22. There are other upcoming fundraisers with The Pickens County Advocacy Center on April 29 (use code 334545 or show this flyer to support the fundraiser), Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem, and more.
