Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce

Presented by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce Women’s Alliance, the Woman-Owned Business of the Year  Award recognizes the accomplishments of a woman business owner who exemplifies a special entrepreneurial spirit resulting in business success through exceptional business practices and customer service, as well as demonstrates a high level of community involvement. At its inaugural Annual Chamber Women’s Alliance Luncheon on May 19, Dr. Alexandra Tarvin with Elevate Audiology was honored as the Chamber Women’s Alliance 2022 Woman-Owned Business of the Year.

In 2018, Dr. Tarvin established Elevate Audiology in Easley. After only one year of operations, her business experienced 71% in growth. During the COVID shutdown in 2020, she experienced only a 12% revenue decrease due to her effective strategies to adapt to virtual and safe care for her patients. And in 2021, she strongly rebounded producing a 46% increase in revenue growth for that year. In addition, she strives to enhance daily operations to create high efficiency, reduction of errors, and a happy office environment for both staff and patients.

In addition to her business success, Dr. Tarvin’s talent has been recognized within her profession.  She is an active member of the SC Academy of Audiology, and since 2017, she has maintained certification from the American Board of Audiology. She has also been honored with the Craig Johnson Advocacy Award by the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, Award for Continuing Education from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and Bright Beginnings Award from the SC Academy of Audiology. In addition, she was recently honored as Young Careerist of the Year by the Tri-County Business & Professional Women.  

Dr. Tarvin was also recognized for her commitment as a mentor and role model to others in her profession. She shares her talent as a preceptor for audiology doctoral students, and she also encourages her staff to excel in their abilities and continue to learn new things.  

Upon opening her business in 2018, she immediately became an active member of our Easley Chamber and community. She offers pro-bono audiology services to Samaritan Health Clinic, as well as supports Pickens County Meals on Wheels, United Way of Pickens County, and The Dream Center.
